Important

This guide is informational and may not fit every setup. We do not provide third‑party support services. Always back up configuration files and test changes in small steps.

Start with the smallest possible setup

When a game crashes on launch, reduce complexity first.

  • Try launching without mods (or with a minimal profile).
  • Temporarily disable overlays and capture tools.
  • Revert config files to a known-good baseline (use your backup).

Check your install integrity

  • If your platform supports it, verify game files.
  • Ensure the game has permission to write configs/saves (avoid read-only folders).
  • Check free disk space for caches and logs.

Re-enable in controlled steps

If the clean baseline launches:

  1. Enable a small batch of mods.
  2. Launch and verify.
  3. Repeat until the crash returns.

The last batch is your suspect set. Narrow from there.

Logs and error messages

If a launcher or mod tool shows an error, copy it into a note. Look for clues like:

  • Missing dependencies
  • Version mismatch
  • Conflicting plugins

If you email us for a correction, include the exact page URL and the error text.

Know when to stop

If a guide checklist doesn’t help and you’re uncomfortable making system changes, stop and revert to the last known good baseline. This site does not provide third‑party support services, and we avoid giving risky instructions without context.
